Protocol Watches is an independent watch brand focused on experimental design and modern mechanical watchmaking. Its approach pairs unconventional motifs, vivid colorways and fearless aesthetics with carefully specified components. The brand’s first model, Protocol 001, is planned for a Kickstarter launch in November 2026, with VIP reservations available for €1; the reservation is described as fully refundable and includes early access, a free extra strap and a VIP price.
Protocol 001 is designed around a 38.5 mm case, a 47.3 mm lug-to-lug measurement and a thickness of 14 mm. It features a Swiss-made automatic Sellita SW200 movement, sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown and 100 m water resistance. Leather and textile straps are offered, with additional straps planned for separate sale when production begins. Each watch is to include a one-year international warranty, with Protocol handling after-sales service directly. The brand says the edition will be limited to 100 numbered watches per colourway, or 300 pieces in total, with no repeat production.
