About Prototype
Prototype is a pioneering publisher founded in 2019 by Jess Chandler. Their focus is on fiction, poetry, anthologies, and interdisciplinary projects. The brand is dedicated to showcasing the work of new voices in contemporary literature and producing unique and visually stunning books.
Prototype takes a flexible and interdisciplinary approach to publishing, creating new possibilities for fiction and poetry. Each publication is carefully crafted to emphasize its form and presentation, making aesthetics a critical aspect of the production process. With four main strands of publications including poetry, prose, interdisciplinary projects, and anthologies, Prototype offers a diverse range of work, including an annual anthology called PROTOTYPE.
As an imprint, Prototype is associated with two presses, Test Centre and House Sparrow Press.
