ProTrain Firearms

ProTrain Firearms is a beginner-focused firearms instruction provider based in Severna Park, Maryland, serving Anne Arundel County and nearby communities. Its approach brings instruction to clients’ homes, offering a familiar setting for learning basic firearm knowledge, safe handling, care, and fundamental skills. Training may take place in a home, basement, garage, or backyard, with live-fire instruction available for pistols and AR-style rifles. The company also explains that other firearms can be covered at a basic mechanical level, with range training needed to progress to live fire.

Courses include beginner firearm instruction, a non-shooting Home Firearms Safety course covering safe handling and home storage of firearms and ammunition, and Maryland’s Handgun Qualification License course, which is required for firearm purchases in the state. ProTrain offers instruction for individuals and small groups, with sessions tailored to students’ experience and goals. Its process begins with an information request and phone consultation before scheduling a class.
