Prottyashi is a voluntary social development organization based in Chittagong, Bangladesh. With a history spanning 40 years, Prottyashi has been dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged communities and promoting sustainable development. Initially founded in 1983 by Monowara Begum and a group of compassionate volunteers, Prottyashi aimed to address the challenges faced by the rural population, particularly hardcore poor individuals and those living in geographically challenging regions.

Over the years, Prottyashi has expanded its services to 10 districts in Bangladesh, benefiting more than 5 million direct beneficiaries. They offer a wide range of programs and projects in livelihood, women's empowerment, health, nutrition, food security, education, adolescent and youth development, migration, protection, financial inclusion, agriculture, and livestock and aquaculture sectors. By working in partnership with national and international development agencies, including the Government of Bangladesh, Prottyashi strives to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

With a mission to improve the quality of life for their target beneficiaries and promote sustainable development, Prottyashi focuses on empowerment, reducing gender gaps, community organizing, capacity building, and participatory governance.
