About Proud Voices On Screen
Proud Voices On Screen is a Charitable Trust in Aotearoa New Zealand established to support and celebrate queer, lgbtqia+, takatāpui, and rainbow creators in the film, series, and documentary industry. Their mission is to foster the development of screen projects by these creators, organize events for networking and idea exchange, and advocate for increased representation in the screen industry.
The Board includes Eloise Veber, with extensive experience in talent development and programming, Thomas Coppell, a passionate film and TV producer dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices, and Todd Karehana, a writer and director focusing on creating innovative work for underserved audiences.
Proud Voices On Screen aims to create a supportive community for diverse voices in the New Zealand screen industry, with a focus on empowering and championing the work of marginalized creators.
