The Providence Center is a Rhode Island provider of community-based mental health and substance use treatment and support. It serves adults, adolescents, children, and families affected by psychiatric illnesses, emotional challenges, and addiction, with care designed to be patient-centered, recovery-oriented, and innovative. Its services include adult behavioral health care, child and family services, addiction and recovery treatment, peer support, and crisis response.

Crisis resources include emergency services, a children’s emergency service, community diversion, and a crisis stabilization unit. The center also offers specialized programs such as a teen center, Imagine Preschool, suicide prevention resources, and support for people involved with criminal justice or the Department of Children, Youth, and Families. Additional services include education and employment support, Genoa Pharmacy, and InShape integrated primary and behavioral health care.

The Providence Center works with clients, families, providers, and community partners to connect people with appropriate care and guide them through recovery. Located in Providence, it is part of Care New England, a regional health system that includes hospitals and other health and community services.
