Provinciaal Natuurcentrum Limburg, or the Provincial Nature Centre Limburg, supports a greener, more sustainable and biodiverse Limburg. The centre works with schools, local authorities, nature organisations, researchers and residents to strengthen the relationship between biodiversity and the living environment. Its services include guided educational programmes for preschool, primary and secondary students, as well as teaching materials, teacher study days and advice on creating greener school grounds and outdoor learning environments. Schools may also find guidance, inspiration and subsidies for developing nature-rich playgrounds.

For municipalities and other partners, the centre provides expertise on connecting natural areas, supporting collaboration across Limburg’s landscapes, and turning environmental ideas into practical steps. Its themes include climate education, climate trees, nature-rich learning and place-based work. The centre also offers a knowledge base, activities and publications, and supports nature research through LIKONA working groups. Nature enthusiasts can take part as volunteers or guides, join activities, or undertake an internship.
