PROXIMEETY

Proximeety is a Greek-language online dating and chat platform for people in Greece, Cyprus, and Greek-speaking communities around the world. It aims to help members find romance, friendship, or marriage, while also making it easy to connect with people nearby for casual conversation. Registration and the core dating and chat services are described as free, with the site funded by advertisers.

Members can create profiles with an advertisement and up to five photos, exchange messages through a personal mailbox, and chat in real time. Search tools include username lookup and multi-criteria filters such as region, city, age, and keywords, supported by 34 search criteria. Users can receive notifications when other members contact them and manage interactions through favorites and a block list. The site also features member photo presentations, a Mr. and Ms. Proximeety contest, and member success stories. To support a safer community, profile photos and listing text are reviewed before publication, and the platform says it uses anti-spam tools and monitors disruptive accounts.
