About Prudent Project
PRUDENT is a groundbreaking EU Horizon project focused on Prioritization, incentives, and resource use for sustainable dentistry. With oral diseases ranking as the 3rd most expensive health issue in the EU and affecting half the population, PRUDENT addresses the challenges in financing oral health care. By bridging research-policy and research-practice gaps, PRUDENT aims to revolutionize oral care financing by developing a context-adaptive framework.
Through collaboration with experts from universities, public authorities, health insurers, and more, PRUDENT targets four key root causes hindering current financing models. This project utilizes a mixed-methods approach to develop performance indicators, identify better financing mechanisms, and enhance regulatory learning for improved oral care financing. The resulting PRUDENT Financing Companion will offer actionable policy briefs and decision aid tools for a more effective and adaptable oral care financing system.
