Fundacja Przystanek Autyzm is a Polish foundation working to support people on the autism spectrum and people with other disabilities. Its central goal is to build and operate a day and residential centre for adults with autism, offering a place to live with dignity in surroundings adapted to their needs. The foundation highlights the lack of suitable ongoing support for many adults after they leave school, when access to therapy, social contact and appropriate care may be limited. Its planned centre aims to address this gap.
The foundation currently focuses on advancing this goal and inviting the public to contribute. It accepts donations, including individual gifts and donations of 1.5% of eligible Polish tax, to support its work. The organisation also shares information about its mission, projects and activities, and welcomes contact from people seeking assistance or wishing to help. Since May 2021, Fundacja Przystanek Autyzm has been a member of Autyzm-Polska, a partnership of non-governmental organisations supporting children and adults with autism and related conditions, as well as their families.
