About NZPSA
NZPSA is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest trade union, representing and supporting over 80,000 workers across various sectors including central government, state-owned enterprises, local councils, health boards, and community groups. As a trade union, their main purpose is to advocate for their members' interests by influencing political, economic, industrial, and social environments within New Zealand. They are a powerful public voice and a significant player in New Zealand politics, advocating for policies that improve public services and working conditions for the benefit of all New Zealanders.
With a community of over 80,000 members, joining NZPSA means joining a collective effort to enhance not only their own lives but also the lives of their colleagues and ultimately all New Zealanders. NZPSA also offers various resources, including their media center called Our Voice, campaigns, and targeted resources for members. They have a hardship fund to support members in times of industrial disputes, and they provide a platform for their Māori members through Te Rūnanga o Ngā Toa Āwhina
