Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) is a humanitarian association dedicated to helping children and families experiencing extreme poverty in Cambodia. Founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, the organisation works to help children leave poverty permanently and progress towards skilled, dignified, fairly paid employment. Its support is organised around six programmes tailored to children’s needs: providing food, healthcare, protection and social support, education, vocational training, and assistance for families. PSE also offers school catch-up and tutoring, accommodation and social services, and programmes addressing malnutrition. Its vocational training aims to equip young people with qualifications recognised by Cambodian authorities.

Individuals and businesses can support the work through regular child sponsorship or one-time donations; the association also welcomes bequests and gifts. Volunteers can contribute in Cambodia or through local support groups, fundraising projects and other activities. PSE says its Cambodian team is drawn largely from the local community, helping make programmes sustainable, while a volunteer network keeps general expenses to 10%.
