About PSEM Portugal
PSEM, short for “Projecto de Sustentabilidade Energética Móvel,” is a motorsports team comprised of students from Instituto Superior Técnico, united by their passion for engineering. Founded in 2013 at the behest of Siemens, PSEM initially aimed to represent the institute in Greenpower competitions. Over the years, they have developed cutting-edge prototypes, such as the GP14 and its subsequent iterations. Their dedication led to notable achievements like winning the Siemens Engineering and Design Award.
Specializing in creating energy-efficient vehicles, PSEM's latest prototype, the GP21, showcases their continuous innovation and commitment to excellence. Despite facing challenges like technical issues and the recent global pandemic, the team's perseverance has resulted in remarkable accomplishments, including a 2nd place finish in East Fortune, Scotland.
