PsicoAeronáuticos

The Asociación Colombiana de Psicólogos Aeronáuticos (ACPA-COL) is a professional association that brings together and strengthens the work of psychologists in aviation. It supports the development and recognition of the profession, while serving as a reference and consultation group for members and organizations across the air transport sector. Its work spans aviation schools, airlines, and other aviation businesses, where psychologists contribute to personnel selection, induction, follow-up, and periodic evaluation. The association also highlights psychological input in aeromedical certification processes under Colombia’s RAC-67 regulations.

ACPA-COL offers and promotes professional development through courses, seminars, conferences, conversations, diplomas, and plans for a specialization program. Its training topics include human factors, risk mitigation, psychoactive substance control, safety management systems, and accident prevention. The association also supports research and describes psychologists’ roles in crisis management, working with victims’ families, and contributing to accident investigations. Additional initiatives include strengthening professional networks, exploring employment and student-practice opportunities, and providing thesis guidance. ACPA-COL aims to expand the visibility, institutional presence, and expertise of aviation psychology in Colombia.
