Since 1977, Prairie State Legal Services (PSLS) has fought to achieve equal justice for people living in poverty across northern and central Illinois. We serve 36 counties in northern and central Illinois. We operate 11 offices, with locations in Bloomington, Galesburg, Joliet, Kankakee, McHenry (Woodstock), Ottawa, Peoria, Rockford, Rock Island, Waukegan, and West Suburban. This year, PSLS is celebrating 45 years of service to those in need.

About Prairie State Legal Services
Prairie State Legal Services (PSLS) has been dedicatedly working since 1977 to achieve equal justice for individuals living in poverty across northern and central Illinois. With a mission to provide legal services to low-income, elderly, and vulnerable people, PSLS operates 11 offices in Bloomington, Galesburg, Joliet, Kankakee, McHenry (Woodstock), Moline, Ottawa, Peoria, Rockford, Waukegan, and West Suburban. With more than 45 years of service, PSLS serves 36 counties, offering assistance in various areas such as safety, housing, health, and stability.
Their team comprises 108 attorneys and over 300 pro bono volunteers, representing over 16,000 cases each year. Through their Fair Housing Project and Low Income Tax Clinic, PSLS investigates discrimination cases and assists low-income individuals with tax disputes.
