The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is dedicated to achieving a socialist transformation of society as the only solution to the deepening crisis of capitalism. Capitalism's relentless pursuit of profit at the expense of the people and the planet has led to imperialist wars, growing poverty, inadequate healthcare and education, discrimination, and environmental destruction. These issues are inherent to the capitalist system itself.

The majority of people, including millions of workers in the US, continue to face worsening conditions under this system. The PSL believes that the capitalist grip on society can only be abolished through a revolutionary overturn. Reformist attempts or small-scale autonomy are unrealistic solutions.

To meet the needs of the billions of people on our planet, large-scale agriculture, industry, and economic planning are necessary. The PSL recognizes that the root of humanity's problems lies in the private ownership and control of productive wealth by a minority focused on profit rather than human needs. The choices the world faces today are between capitalism's increasing destruction and socialism.
