Welcome to the Paul Sawyier Public Library! Our mission is to provide opportunities for lifelong learning through free and open access to materials and resources that inform, educate, enrich, inspire, and entertain. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky, we offer a range of services for all age groups.

For young people, our Youth Services Department features state-of-the-art interactive displays and engaging programs, catering to infants through teenagers. Adults can enjoy book discussion groups and programs on various subjects, including Kentucky history, holiday decorating, and seasonal crafts. You can also relax in our beautiful library space with stunning views of the Kentucky river.

If you need a space to connect or study, we provide meeting and study rooms that can be reserved up to 24 hours in advance. Additionally, we are proud to house original paintings by renowned impressionist painter Paul Sawyier, showcasing the beauty of Frankfort and its surroundings.
