Psychoanalytische Bibliothek Berlin

Psychoanalytische Bibliothek Berlin is a brand that provides a space for psychoanalytic research and practice, drawing inspiration from the works of Freud and Lacan. Founded by individual analysts in Berlin, the library serves as a juncture point for various Lacanian groups in the city, including the Freud-Lacan-Society, Psychoanalytic Salon, and LaGiB - Lacan Group in Berlin. It also acts as a meeting point for groups from all over Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The library consists of an event space for seminars and conferences, a library/archive with a collection of relevant literature on psychoanalysis, and two praxis rooms for psychoanalytic practice. Additionally, the library hosts public events, inviting psychoanalysts to give talks open to the general public, fostering an open exchange with non-psychoanalysts, and encouraging collaboration between artists and psychoanalysts. Friends and members of the library enjoy access to its collection and reduced entry fees for events.

The library also partners with organizations, offering them the use of the event space and storage for their archives. Located in Geisbergstraße, Berlin, the library operates based on its opening hours listed on its German contact page
