Psychologisch Centrum Leeuwarden is a mental health care provider in Friesland specializing in support for children and young people, with services also available for adults. Its guiding principle is to put the child at the centre while considering the wider context, including symptoms, family circumstances and development. A multidisciplinary team brings together different areas of expertise to provide tailored psychological guidance and treatment.
The centre works with children and young people facing concerns such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, ADHD or ADD questions, and developmental difficulties. It also supports parents and caregivers through discussions, practical guidance and clear communication throughout the care process. Referrers can work with the centre through agreed collaboration and careful updates, with consent.
Care begins with an enquiry and assessment, followed by a treatment plan suited to the individual and their situation. The centre aims to provide clear, considerate support and sustainable progress. Children under 18 generally receive fully funded care through contracted youth services via SDF Fryslân.
