The Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. (PtHA) is a membership organization dedicated to promoting quality, colorful horses, ponies, and miniatures and maintaining their pedigrees and show records. Founded in 1956 from a grassroots effort to encourage selective breeding for color and conformation, the association now serves approximately 88,000 members and has registered more than 160,000 Pintos. Its three registries—the Color, Solid, and Long Ear registries—are open to equines of any size or breeding.

PtHA supports members through registration services, educational resources, awards, youth programs, and opportunities to participate in shows and events. Its offerings include the Pinto World Championship and the annual Color Breed Congress, which features PtHA, ABRA, NSBA, and all-breed ranch horse classes, as well as prizes, cash challenges, and futurities. The association also provides professional and amateur programs, judge resources, show management information, and online show results. Through its magazine and Pinto Heritage Foundation, PtHA promotes learning, youth scholarships, and preservation of Pinto history, including artifacts displayed at its museum in Bethany, Oklahoma.
