PTSV Starnberg

Polizei Tauchsportverein Starnberg e. V. is a small, nonprofit volunteer diving club near Munich, based on the shores of Lake Starnberg. With around 50 members, it welcomes experienced divers, beginners, people curious to try the sport, and anyone interested in earning a diving qualification. The club is affiliated with the VDST and BLTV and provides training in line with VDST standards, while also accepting members from other diving organisations.

Experienced instructors teach courses ranging from children’s snorkelling awards and junior diving qualifications to the German Sport Diving Certificate at gold level. The club also offers freediving and apnea activities, specialty and advanced courses, and regular pool training tailored to individual ability. Members meet on Monday evenings at Seebad Starnberg for fitness, apnea, and underwater skills practice, and often dive in Lake Starnberg and Walchensee on weekends. Club trips also take divers to destinations such as the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
