PT Thoroughbreds

PT Thoroughbreds is a boutique thoroughbred breeding and racing venture based in Kilmore, Victoria, Australia. Operating under the PT Group, the business focuses on producing well-bred, tractable horses through carefully selected matings and attentive care of broodmares and foals. Its breeding program is intentionally small, with a limit of five quality broodmares, and the venture also develops weanlings into yearlings for sale. PT Thoroughbreds has bred 20 foals, of which 12 have raced, producing eight winners and four place-getters; several yearlings have been selected for the Inglis Premier Sale.

The brand’s activities span breeding, yearling sales, racehorse ownership and racing, with horses held by the business, its principals or partners. Its website presents broodmares, foals, current and upcoming runners, alumni, race results and news, and invites visitors to follow the horses’ progress or join the ownership experience when opportunities arise. The venture is driven by Karl’s bloodline knowledge and sales selections and Justine’s extensive experience in riding, horse husbandry, ownership and breeding.
