Pubblica Assistenza Monticelli d’Ongina is a nonprofit volunteer organization providing public assistance and emergency care across Caorso, Castelvetro, and Monticelli d’Ongina in Italy. With around 120 volunteers and an operational base in Monticelli d’Ongina, the organization supports local residents through emergency response, patient transport, event medical coverage, and community education.
Its services include a territorial emergency ambulance available 24 hours a day, as well as transport for medical appointments for people with disabilities, older adults, and patients receiving dialysis. The organization also provides medical assistance at events that require the presence of a specialized vehicle. Its fleet comprises eight vehicles: six ambulances and two Fiat Doblò vehicles equipped to transport patients who remain seated in wheelchairs. One ambulance serves the 24-hour emergency service in coordination with Italy’s 118 emergency system, while the others are used to transport patients on stretchers.
Pubblica Assistenza Monticelli also periodically offers free first-aid courses to residents of the three communities and welcomes adults in good health who wish to volunteer.
