Affordable Housing USA, presented through PublicAffordableHousing.com, is an online resource for people seeking affordable housing options across the United States. The site helps visitors locate Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), explore Section 8 and public housing waiting lists, and find information about housing programs. Its directory covers authorities in all 52 states, with contact details, office locations, and program information. Visitors can browse waiting lists that are reported as open for applications and review guidance on eligibility and application steps.

The website also offers practical housing guides, including explanations of Housing Choice Vouchers, public housing applications, income eligibility, and strategies for finding affordable apartments. An income eligibility calculator helps users assess whether their household income may meet Section 8 limits. For additional support, the site connects visitors with HUD-approved housing counseling agencies that provide free assistance with renting, buying, credit repair, and foreclosure prevention. By bringing directories, application resources, and counseling referrals together, Affordable Housing USA aims to help individuals and families better understand available housing assistance and take informed next steps.
