About West African Institute of Public Health ️
West African Institute of Public Health (WAIPH) is a pioneering institution dedicated to strengthening public health capabilities in West Africa. Our mission is to provide knowledge and develop the skills necessary to achieve better healthcare coverage and outcomes for all. Since its inception in 2008, WAIPH has been committed to addressing the region's public health challenges through research, training, and program implementation.
Recognizing the need for a robust workforce and effective leadership in the field, the Institute has built a multidisciplinary professionalizing scheme and a robust Academy of Public Health. Under the visionary leadership of our founder, Dr. Francis Ohanyido, WAIPH has fostered broad-based partnerships with public and private sectors, donors, development organizations, and other non-profit public health entities worldwide.
Since 2015, WAIPH has been actively engaged in various activities, including the activation of the Academy and implementation of key programs. Our dedicated team, led by Dr. Francis Ohanyido, along with esteemed board members and key partners, are passionate about ensuring the highest quality education and your success in the field of public health.
