Public Services International (PSI) is a global union federation that represents over 700 trade unions comprising 30 million workers across 154 countries. Our mission is to fight for equal access to quality public services and defend the labor rights of the workers who deliver them. We advocate for public ownership and management of these services, standing on the frontline against privatization that benefits the wealthy few at the expense of workers and communities.
As the international voice of public sector unions, we bring our unique perspective to global forums such as the United Nations, World Health Organization (WHO), and International Labour Organization (ILO). We work tirelessly to ensure that public service workers, who run hospitals, emergency services, schools, universities, government administrations, local governments, water and electricity utilities, and more, have labor rights, decent working conditions, and involvement in service management.
