About Public Space Network
Public Space Network is a pioneering brand that works closely with low-income youth to transform abandoned and risky spaces into safe and lively public areas in their communities. They believe in the power of collaboration and education to reshape public spaces, as demonstrated through their flagship program, the Changing Faces Competition. This competition offers youth groups the opportunity to showcase their vision for their communities and make a lasting impact.
The latest edition, debuted in October 2020, aims to reshape public spaces in Nairobi, especially considering the increased importance of such spaces in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition has garnered significant participation from various neighborhoods, including Kibra, Dandora, Kamukunji, Kayole, Mathare, and even Kikuyu. By acknowledging the champions in their community, Public Space Network fosters innovation, community ties, and enhances the quality of life for all Nairobians
