Pugwash

Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs is a brand dedicated to addressing the catastrophic threats posed by nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. With a mission to diminish the role of nuclear arms in international politics and ultimately eliminate them, Pugwash was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995. Through dialogue and collaboration across divides, Pugwash aims to promote evidence-based policymaking and increase the security of all sides.

By organizing track 1. 5 and track II dialogues, Pugwash fosters creative discussions on ways to enhance global security and develop cooperative and forward-looking policies. In addition to addressing nuclear and WMD risks, Pugwash also focuses on other critical issues such as climate change, environmental deterioration, and resource scarcity.
