Puheterapeutti Heidi

HP Puheterapia Oy provides individualized speech and language therapy in Rovaniemi and Ranua, Finland. Led by licensed speech therapist Heidi Peuraniemi, the practice serves primarily children with challenges involving communication, speech and language development, eating, or related skills. Its specialist focus includes supporting unclear speech, alongside experience with developmental delays and disorders, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, and selective mutism.

Therapy takes place in clients’ everyday environments through home, daycare, and school visits; the practice has no clinic premises. Goals are developed with clients, families, and other people involved in their daily lives, with exercises tailored to each person’s needs and circumstances. Support may include augmentative and alternative communication methods such as pictures, key word signing, drawing, and plain language, as well as individualized therapy materials.

Heidi Peuraniemi is a Kela and Lapland wellbeing services county provider. Services may be funded through Kela, paid for privately, or covered by an insurance company. Therapy is delivered in Finnish, while guidance for families and collaborating professionals is also available in English.
