Grupo Pulsa

Grupo Pulsa is a Brazilian blood bank organization focused on connecting voluntary donors with patients who need transfusions. With donation centers across multiple states, including Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, Goiás, the Federal District, and Ceará, the group serves communities throughout the country. It encourages blood donation to support public health services and patients receiving cancer treatment, undergoing major surgery or transplantation, or recovering from accidents and burns.

The organization guides donors through each step, from registration and confidential health screening to collection, refreshments, testing, processing, storage, and distribution of blood components. Donated blood is separated into plasma, platelets, and red blood cell concentrates, then tested before being released for transfusion. Grupo Pulsa also provides platelet donation by apheresis, with information about eligibility, the procedure, and possible effects. Its online resources explain donation requirements, aftercare, and how donated blood is used.
