The Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade is a community celebration in Punta Gorda Isles, Florida, sponsored by the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. Presented by The Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(4) corporation, the event welcomes boaters from near and far to decorate their vessels and join the annual fleet. Its 26th edition is scheduled to sail on December 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., rain or shine.
The parade follows a simple, approximately four-mile route through the protected Punta Gorda Isles canal system. Organizers highlight its bridgeless course, lack of two-way traffic, and close viewing along the canals, where crowds can enjoy illuminated boats, carolers, and performers. Free dock space may be available on a first-come, first-served basis for participating boaters.
The event’s website supports participation with parade registration, route and viewing information, decorating tips and workshops, and photo and video submissions. It also shares parade media, answers common questions, and recognizes community patrons and contributors.
