Puppy Preparatory is a specialized puppy training academy based in Charlotte, North Carolina, focused on helping puppies build the skills they need to succeed in their new homes. The academy emphasizes early training and socialization, addressing foundational needs such as potty training, crate training, manners, and confidence before challenges become more difficult for owners and dogs.

All training uses positive reinforcement and force-free methods. Puppy Preparatory does not use force, intimidation, painful punishment, or pain-inflicting tools, and aims to provide a safe, positive learning environment for puppies of different ages, sizes, and needs.

Its programs include Board & Train, where puppies stay in the trainer’s home and are treated as part of the family; Day School, which covers commands, socialization, manners, and impulse control; and a boarding option for graduates to refresh and build on earlier training. Virtual School offers a customizable online program with live, one-on-one professional support. The academy also provides enrollment guidance and resources for puppy supplies, recommended treats, pet insurance, microchipping, and local fear-free veterinary care.
