About Purosol
Purosol is a renowned brand that specializes in environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions for various products. The brand was born from the innovative mind of Dr. L.
H. Sampson in the 1980s. Dr.
Sampson, who was previously involved in producing computer components, identified the need for a safer and more effective cleaning formula for sensitive optical equipment. Traditional cleaners containing toxic solvents and chlorofluorocarbons caused damage to lens coating and left behind undetectable marks. This led Dr.
Sampson to develop an enzyme-based cleaning formula called Ultratech. The positive response to his product led to further research and the development of Ultratech II. The formulation's exceptional performance was showcased during the Gulf War, where it was used to clean and protect optics in harsh desert conditions.
Today, Origin Laboratories continues to produce PUROSOL, the core formula that underlies the brand's entire line of cleaning solutions for optical, plasma, sport/marine, and jewelry products.
