Genius Garage is an innovative educational program that began in 2014 with the goal of empowering students through hands-on experience in the world of motorsports. Since its inception, Genius Garage has provided a unique platform for aspiring engineers and racing enthusiasts to work on real racing projects, notably integrating advanced technology into iconic vehicles. In its first year, students worked on the 1997 Reynard Champ-Indy car, originally driven by Indy 500 champion Dario Franchitti, transforming it by integrating a new Chevrolet engine and designing custom electronic systems.
This rigorous program not only focuses on technical skills but also emphasizes teamwork and real-world applications, with students taking on diverse roles such as public relations, drivetrain, and aerodynamics. Guided by industry professionals, participants engage in research assignments that require strategic thinking, preparing them for future careers. With a mission to inspire and educate, Genius Garage continues to cultivate the next generation of innovators in the motorsports industry
