Puumalagolf

Puumala Golf is a relaxed golf destination in Puumala, in Finland’s South Savo region, surrounded by the rural scenery of the Saimaa area. The course began taking shape in 2007, when farm owner Mikko Luukkonen and PGA professional Pertti Ahokas established a practice range on former farmland. Local volunteers later helped develop the playing area across five hectares, and Puumala Golf Cooperative was founded in 2011 to lease the land and operate the golf activities.

The course welcomes visitors on a Pay & Play basis, with at least one player in each group required to hold a Green Card. Beginners can book guided introductory sessions or take Green Card courses. Other offerings include a golf simulator, club maintenance, golf equipment sales and professional instruction. Players can pay at the self-service cashier or via MobilePay. The setting is also accessible by boat, with the course about 500 metres from Kietävälänvirta. Puumala Golf invites newcomers and experienced players alike to enjoy the game in an informal, welcoming atmosphere.
