About Penang Women's Development Corporation
Penang Women's Development Corporation (PWDC) is dedicated to transforming Penang into an advanced and progressive society. As an initiative by the Penang State Government, PWDC advocates for equality among all individuals, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background. PWDC focuses on promoting gender inclusiveness, women's empowerment and leadership, and family and children affairs.
Through various campaigns and initiatives like Iktiraf Perintis Perubahan Pulau Pinang 2022, International Women's Day (IWD), and Penang Goes Orange (PGO), the organization strives to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for women and children. With the belief that everyone should have equal opportunities, PWDC provides resources such as policies, annual reports, press statements, publications, photos, and videos. By organizing events and offering support, PWDC actively engages the public and emphasizes the importance of gender equality.
