Golfclub Prinses Wilhelmina is an established golf club in Enschede, founded in 1986 by members of the local Prinses Wilhelmina hockey club who wanted to play golf. Today, it operates as an independent club on the Ledeboer Park grounds, alongside PW Hockey. Its distinctive nine-hole course sits within Enschede’s built-up area, between the Roessingh rehabilitation centre and the University of Twente. Set in a park-like landscape of streams, ponds, mature trees and rhododendrons, the course offers a relaxed setting and a rewarding challenge. Though not especially long, its relatively narrow fairways test experienced golfers as well as newer players.
The club offers several membership options and welcomes visitors through green-fee play. Facilities include a driving range and putting green, while the PW Golf Academy provides individual and group lessons, themed training, golf clinics, youth programmes and instruction for beginners. Members can take part in a varied calendar of qualifying and non-qualifying competitions, and the club supports a sociable atmosphere through volunteer involvement and community activities.
