PWN (Puur Water en Natuur) is a Dutch water utility and nature-management organization serving North Holland. It supplies drinking water to households and businesses, maintains the infrastructure that carries it, and provides customer services such as meter-reading submissions, moving notifications, bill payment, connection changes, and information about planned work or disruptions. PWN promotes responsible water use and shares guidance on conservation and preparing for future water needs. It also examines issues affecting water and nature, including PFAS, and supports research, education, and collaboration on innovation.
Alongside its water services, PWN manages approximately 7,500 hectares of nature, including dunes and other protected areas in North Holland. Visitors can explore locations such as the Noordhollands Duinreservaat and Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, follow walking and cycling routes, and enjoy activities such as horse riding and camping where permitted. PWN also operates visitor centres, provides information about access rules and duinkaarten, and helps people organize activities in the dunes. Through these connected services, PWN works to safeguard both drinking water and natural landscapes.
