PYC Junior Sailing

Portland Yacht Club Junior Sailing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth sailing in Maine. Guided by its mission to serve, teach, and support sailing, the program aims to help young people develop their skills in a welcoming environment. Parent feedback describes instruction as fun and emphasizes students’ safety and well-being. The organization shares updates about its junior sailing activities and introduces coaches and coordinators through regular spotlights, offering families and the wider community a view of the people involved in the program.

Portland Yacht Club Junior Sailing also provides information about grants and scholarships, helping connect young sailors with potential support. Its website invites visitors to donate and offers contact details for those seeking more information. The organization states that youth of any race are admitted to its programs and activities, and that it does not discriminate on the basis of race in admissions, educational policies, scholarships, or other administered programs.
