Qbit

Qbit is a community-led digital value network designed to protect ownership in the post-quantum era. Its QBT currency uses quantum-resistant signatures from launch, rather than relying on users to migrate funds later. Qbit’s self-custody model uses P2MR addresses that keep public spend keys hidden until a transaction is made, with hash-based signatures authorizing spends.

QBT has a fixed supply cap of 210 million and is distributed through proof-of-work mining, with no premine or outside token allocation. The network supports permissionless SHA-256 mining and AuxPoW merge mining, allowing Bitcoin mining infrastructure to contribute security to the Qbit chain. Its launch parameters are designed to reduce the risk of an early concentration of mining power.

Qbit offers a Chrome wallet for holding, sending, and receiving QBT, with keys kept on the user’s device. Users can also run Qbit Core to independently verify blocks and transactions, or mine through Qbit Pool, which pays rewards directly to a chosen address.
