About QC
The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (QC) is a community-led and community-owned health and wellbeing service dedicated to supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl, and Brotherboy people and communities in Queensland. With over 35 years of experience, QC is proud to represent the diversity of these communities and provide the necessary support and services they need.
QC's vision is for Queenslanders within the LGBTI community to live longer, happier lives with access to the services and support they require. Their primary purpose is to drive change within systems and services, empowering individuals and communities to improve their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
QC offers a range of programs and services, including safe sex supplies, training, care finder programs, HIV prevention and support, health promotion, and intersex health and wellbeing. They also provide language guides, news articles, research, and resources to educate and inform the community.
If you or someone you know is in distress, QC provides helpful contacts and crisis support, including 24/7 national crisis lines and web chats.
Stay connected with QC through their Facebook page and access their strategic plan and year in review document for more information.
The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health acknowledges and pays respects to the Traditional Owners of Country across Queensland, recognizing their sovereignty and incorporating their ways of knowing, being, and doing into their work.
