Queensferry Care

Queensferry Care is a Scottish charity dedicated to helping older people and their carers live active, independent lives and stay connected to their communities. Established in 1993, the organisation serves South Queensferry, Ratho, Ratho Station, Dalmeny, Newbridge and Kirkliston. Its support is available to older people, including those living with dementia or life-limiting illnesses, as well as people experiencing social isolation and unpaid carers.

Services include Day Opportunities, with activities offered at home, at the organisation’s centre or in the wider community. Queensferry Care also runs lunch clubs in Ratho and Kirkliston, a Supper Club, a Carers Supper Club, Befriending, and Garden Tidy support. The charity reports supporting around 100 people and providing 290 hours of support each week across six communities.

Community involvement is central to its work. Queensferry Care offers volunteering opportunities and welcomes donations, fundraising, corporate partnerships and legacy gifts. It also shares news, events and resources, and invites enquiries from people interested in accessing services or supporting its work.
