About Queen City Community Connect Coalition
The Queen City (QC) Community Connect Coalition is dedicated to unifying, equipping, and empowering Community Health Workers (CHWs) to better serve the residents of Mecklenburg County. CHWs play a crucial role as frontline public health workers who have a deep understanding and trust within the communities they serve. This connection allows them to act as liaisons between health and social services, improving access to care and ensuring culturally competent service delivery. Through outreach, education, counseling, and advocacy, CHWs also help build individual and community capacity, promoting health knowledge and self-sufficiency.
The coalition aims to bring together CHWs from various organizations in Mecklenburg County, fostering collaboration and providing a platform for ongoing support and development. By creating a supportive environment, QC Community Connect enables CHWs to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of their communities.
