About QMNC
QMNC Research Alliance is an alliance of researchers, clinicians, advocates, and policymakers dedicated to improving the quality of maternal and newborn care. Established after the publication of the 2014 Lancet Series on Midwifery, the alliance aims to address knowledge gaps and research priorities in this field. They have developed a comprehensive mission, vision, and strategic plan to guide their work.
The mission of QMNC Research Alliance is to collaborate on global research that promotes, generates, and translates knowledge about the essential role of midwifery, ensuring the survival, well-being, and transformation of women, childbearing individuals, and families. Their vision is to advance equitable and quality maternal and newborn care for all through research that explores the crucial role of midwifery. They welcome colleagues to join them as members in their collaborative efforts to address research priorities.
