About QuakeWorld.nu
QuakeWorld. nu is a dedicated online platform for enthusiasts of the iconic first-person shooter, Quake, originally released by id Software in 1996. As a significant update to the original game, QuakeWorld was launched to enhance online multiplayer experiences through improved networking capabilities.
The site serves as a hub for the passionate Quake community, offering news, articles, and an active forum for players to engage in discussions about matches, strategies, and game updates. Managed entirely by volunteers, QuakeWorld. nu aims to support both newcomers trying to navigate the game and seasoned players seeking resources tailored to their needs.
Additionally, the site operates using the custom web application framework, QWX, designed for efficient management and usability. Recognized for its influence on gaming culture, Quake continues to be celebrated, especially for its fast-paced multiplayer action. Join the vibrant discussions and connect with players through QW's welcoming community, also accessible via their IRC channel on QuakeNet
