QualCapture

QualCapture is a research platform that automates the qualitative interview process, helping individual researchers, students, and research teams collect and manage spoken accounts remotely. It supports studies of different sizes, including research involving participants who may be difficult to reach or unable to attend in person.

Researchers can create a study by entering information manually, uploading existing documents, or using built-in AI to help prepare study materials, consent information, demographic questions, interview schedules, and coding frameworks. Participants use a shared link to review study details, provide informed consent, answer demographic questions, and record spoken responses. They can pause or skip questions, listen to recordings, review transcripts, and amend responses before submitting.

QualCapture provides automatic recording and transcription, with optional automatic coding alongside manual coding tools. Researchers can review coded extracts in a dashboard and download audio, approved transcripts, demographic responses, coding results, and other research data for further analysis. Private storage and researcher sign-in controls help restrict access to study records.
