BBRZ (Berufliches Bildungs- und Rehabilitationszentrum) is an Austrian organization focused on helping people with physical, cognitive or psychological disabilities enter or return to work. Its services are available nationwide to people who are unemployed or at immediate risk of unemployment. BBRZ develops an individual plan with each person, tailored to their abilities, goals and circumstances, through a modular approach built around career orientation, training and qualification.
Career orientation helps participants identify suitable job prospects and plan next steps, while training builds personal, social and professional skills through practical experience. Qualification ranges from targeted courses and upskilling to full, workplace-oriented training, with company placements included. Participants can also access support from psychologists, social workers, occupational physicians, health coaches and career specialists, as well as employer services that connect training with labor-market needs and support job applications and placement.
BBRZ also provides programs for specific groups, including people with visual or neurological impairments, people on the autism spectrum, those affected by asbestos-related illness, young people moving from school to work, and participants who need accommodation because of long travel distances. Its aim is to support sustainable employment through individualized rehabilitation and practical preparation.
