Quanta Aviation Services (QAS) is the administrative and organizational arm supporting four aviation companies within Quanta Services, a provider of infrastructure solutions for the utility, energy, and communications industries. Together, PJ Helicopters, Billings Flying Service, Winco Powerline Services, and Wilson Utility Helicopters operate what QAS describes as the world’s largest private utility helicopter fleet, with more than 100 helicopters and over 38,000 annual flight hours.

The group provides specialized rotorcraft services for utility and infrastructure projects, including powerline construction and maintenance, wire-stringing, aerial inspection, heavy lifting, firefighting, storm response, snow patrol, and forestry and construction support. Its fleet includes the largest civilian CH-47 Chinook fleet. QAS also offers unmanned aerial services for utility infrastructure, including AI-powered visual and thermal inspections, LiDAR and photogrammetry mapping, corridor safety assessment, corona discharge inspection, drone-assisted construction and installation, and emergency response.

Backed by Quanta Services, QAS brings the operating companies shared organizational support and the resources and reach of a broader infrastructure group.
