About QUANTEC Limited
Quantec is a New Zealand brand that specializes in the characterization and application of bioactive whey proteins for positive health and wellness outcomes. The company was founded in 2008 by Dr. Judy Bragger and Dr.
Rod Claycomb, who discovered the powerful synergy created by over 50+ bioactive whey proteins present in pasture-fed milk. This bioactive protein synergy supports the innate immune system and possesses antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It led to the development and launch of IDP® (Immune Defense Proteins) and recently the SynaQ® range of customised bioactive whey proteins tailored for specific applications and consumer needs.
Quantec's team consists of experts in the field, including Raewyn McPhillips, Chief Executive Officer, who has a strong background in science and leadership roles in the dairy industry, and Rod Claycomb, Co-founder & Innovation Director, with extensive experience in pure and applied research. Dr. Colin Ogle serves as the Technical and Regulatory Manager, ensuring global registration of animal and human health technologies, while Cici Zhao, General Manager of Quantec Manufacturing and Business Development, brings her expertise in the New Zealand food industry to the team.
With a focus on growth strategies for IDP® and future trends in fortified/functional foods and skincare, John Dawson is the General Manager of Marketing and Sales. Dr. Katharine Adam contributes as a Microbiologist, researching the properties of Quantec's Immune Defense Proteins, and Gillian (Gills) Saxton manages finance, inventory, and office responsibilities as an Accountant.
Quantec has received prestigious awards, including the Natural Health Products NZ Supreme Award and the Cawthron Institute Innovation Award.
