Quantum Australia

Quantum Australia is the national centre for quantum industry growth, bringing together industry, government and universities to advance research, commercialisation and innovation. Backed by the Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Science and Resources, state governments and 13 university partners, it represents Australia’s quantum interests and supports delivery of the National Quantum Strategy.

The organisation connects researchers, startups, investors, businesses and public institutions, helping bridge the gap between world-class research and commercial success. Its programs foster ecosystem collaboration, build industry partnerships and support new ventures developing scalable quantum businesses. Quantum Australia also works with organisations to identify practical challenges that quantum technologies may help address.

Its activities span sectors including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, defence and space, energy, finance, medical science, resources, and transport and logistics. The organisation shares case studies and use cases to demonstrate emerging applications, and provides news, events and conference opportunities for the quantum community. Through initiatives such as NewQ and NextQ, it supports venture development and talent.
